Before sending Greirat to pillage Irythill, I ran into Patches and got him to stay at Firelink, saved Siegward and gave him his armor whilst buying another set off of Patches (NG+). Then AFTER I cleared Irythill up-to the Church of Yorshka bonfire I homeward bone'd back to the Shrine and told Greirat he is good to go. . Sullypercent27s steamers
Rescue Greirat from prison in High Wall. Meet Siegward in Undead Settlement in tower under the giant archer and have him help you kill the Demon. Speak with Greirat whenever you are in Firelink Shrine and send him to pillage when he asks. After all, Greirat ashes state that he didn't steal out of greed, but rather to help the needy. Side note, that whole speech on human's greed made me view Patches in a completely different light. He's no longer just some troll, but really seems to be trying to teach people a lesson in greed. Defeat the hollow and take the ladder down where a halberd wielding enemy blocks a doorway and another locked door (can be opened later on with Leonhard's questline, which lead to a Red Eye Orb).
